She has always been fascinated by reproduction, pregnancy, and fetal development. In 2017, she began her nursing career, and by 2018, she had found her calling as a Labour and Delivery nurse.<br><br>Over the years, Blair has had the privilege of helping bring countless babies into the world. She expanded her expertise across multiple areas of Labour and Delivery, including triage, High Acuity, Post Anesthetic Recovery, and eventually into her current role as Charge Nurse. While her clinical experience has continued to grow, what she values most is supporting families during one of the most sacred, transformative, and vulnerable moments of their lives. Guiding parents through labour, delivery, and the transition into parenthood has always been at the heart of her work.<br><br>Then came the experience that would deepen her understanding in an entirely new way: becoming the patient herself.<br><br>Experiencing pregnancy, labour, delivery, and postpartum from the other side of the hospital bed was both humbling and transformative. It gave Blair a firsthand appreciation for the physical, emotional, and mental challenges that accompany the journey into parenthood.<br><br>At the same time, another important piece of this story was taking shape.<br><br>Before COVID, Blair had briefly met Lucy and regularly attended her spin classes. She enjoyed them so much that she even participated in Mama &amp; Baby classes before becoming a mother herself.<br><br>After the birth of her daughter, Blair was eager to return to exercise but struggled to find the right starting point. Like many new mothers, she felt isolated. It was still the post-COVID period, and she was the first among her close friends to have a child. More than anything, she was searching for a sense of community while rebuilding her strength and confidence.<br>That search led her to Hustle.<br><br>She began with the Postpartum &amp; Baby classes which seems to be the only fitness studio in Vancouver where she could work out alongside her three-month-old daughter while connecting with other mothers in the same stage of life. A few months later, she progressed into Mama Move classes and quickly discovered exactly what she had been looking for: challenging workouts, supportive friendships, and a community of women who understood the realities of motherhood.<br>More than three years later, Blair credits Lucy and her team with helping her become stronger than ever. Perhaps even stronger than before becoming a mother.<br><br>For Lucy, supporting women through pregnancy and postpartum has always been more than a career; it has been a passion.<br>For over 12 years, Lucy has dedicated her work to helping people achieve optimal health and wellness. She holds certifications in indoor cycling, group fitness, personal training, Pilates, and yoga, and has completed extensive training focused on prenatal and postpartum care.<br><br>As the owner of Hustle and Spin Society Indoor Cycling Studios in Vancouver, Lucy serves as both a leader and coach within her organizations. She also leads the Mega Mama program for Lagree West and works closely with clients navigating pregnancy and postpartum, including those experiencing more complex journeys such as multiple births and pregnancy loss.<br>Her passion for supporting mothers ultimately led to the creation of The LU Method, a holistic approach to fitness during pregnancy and postpartum. As a mother of two adventurous young girls herself, Lucy brings both professional expertise and lived experience to everything she teaches.<br>One day after class, Blair and Lucy found themselves discussing their shared passion for supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery.<br><br>The conversation quickly evolved into a simple but powerful question:<br><br>What if they combined their expertise?<br>What if Blair&#8217;s years of Labour and Delivery experience could be paired with Lucy&#8217;s extensive knowledge of prenatal and postpartum fitness?<br>What if they could create a program that prepared parents not only for birth, but also for the physical, emotional, and mental realities of the transition into parenthood?<br>And what if they could create something truly unique for families in Vancouver?<br>From that conversation, this course was born.<br><br>Together, Blair and Lucy have designed an experience that combines evidence-based education, practical tools, clinical expertise, movement strategies, and real-life experience. She holds certifications in indoor cycling, group fitness, personal training, Pilates, and yoga, and has completed extensive continuing education with a specialized focus on prenatal, postpartum, and women&#8217;s health.<br><br>Lucy specializes in evidence-informed fitness for every stage of womanhood, supporting clients through pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause. Her expertise includes exercise programming for those experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, as well as creating safe, supportive workouts for individuals navigating high-risk pregnancies and complex medical conditions such as preeclampsia, placenta previa, preterm labour, severe lumbopelvic pain, multiple pregnancies, and pregnancy loss. She is passionate about helping women remain active safely while adapting movement to meet their changing bodies and health needs.<br><br>Lucy is the Owner of Hustle and Spin Society Indoor Cycling Studios in Vancouver, Canada, where she serves as both a leader and coach. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of British Columbia Okanagan in 2017 and began her career developing a strong clinical foundation in medical-surgical nursing. Within a year of graduating, Blair began focusing on her true passion: maternal health.<br><br>Growing up in the small town of Ladner, Blair was always known as the \u201cmom\u201d of the group. No matter the situation, she seemed to have an innate ability to recognize what those around her needed and how she could help. Whether offering a listening ear, emotional support, or a helping hand, caring for others came naturally to her from a young age. This passion for helping people was evident even in her teenage years when she served as a First Responder throughout Grades 10\u201312, receiving specialized First Responder First Aid training to assist with medical emergencies within her school community.<br><br>Blair completed her Perinatal Specialty Certification through BCIT and currently works at BC Women\u2019s Hospital, where she has spent nearly a decade supporting birthing families through labour, delivery, and the early transition into parenthood. Her extensive hands-on experience has shaped her into a steady, compassionate presence during one of life\u2019s most transformative and vulnerable seasons.<br><br>Blair is deeply committed to empowering women with evidence-based education and nurturing confidence throughout their birth and postpartum journey. She believes in standing not only as a guide, but also as a reassuring source of support when challenges arise. Her love of teaching extends beyond nursing and has been a consistent theme throughout her life. <br><br>As a mother to an energetic four-year-old daughter, Blair understands firsthand the physical and emotional changes that accompany pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Her personal experience deepens her empathy and fuels her passion for helping women care for their bodies, feel supported, and step into motherhood feeling informed, capable, and strong.<br><br>When she is not caring for families at the bedside, Blair enjoys spending quality time with her own family. She and her husband of seven years, whom she met while living in Kelowna, love getting outdoors for bike rides, dog walks, and family adventures with their six-year-old chocolate Lab, Ellie. At home, you&#8217;ll often find Blair hosting dance parties in the living room with her daughter or heading out for what her daughter affectionately calls a \u201cbeard\u201d \u2014 a family outing that occasionally includes enjoying a local beer together. She has always been fascinated by reproduction, pregnancy, and fetal development. In 2017, she began her nursing career, and by 2018, she had found her calling as a Labour and Delivery nurse.<br><br>Over the years, Blair has had the privilege of helping bring countless babies into the world. She expanded her expertise across multiple areas of Labour and Delivery, including triage, High Acuity, Post Anesthetic Recovery, and eventually into her current role as Charge Nurse. While her clinical experience has continued to grow, what she values most is supporting families during one of the most sacred, transformative, and vulnerable moments of their lives. Guiding parents through labour, delivery, and the transition into parenthood has always been at the heart of her work.<br><br>Then came the experience that would deepen her understanding in an entirely new way: becoming the patient herself.<br><br>Experiencing pregnancy, labour, delivery, and postpartum from the other side of the hospital bed was both humbling and transformative. It gave Blair a firsthand appreciation for the physical, emotional, and mental challenges that accompany the journey into parenthood.<br><br>At the same time, another important piece of this story was taking shape.<br><br>Before COVID, Blair had briefly met Lucy and regularly attended her spin classes. She enjoyed them so much that she even participated in Mama &amp; Baby classes before becoming a mother herself.<br><br>After the birth of her daughter, Blair was eager to return to exercise but struggled to find the right starting point. Like many new mothers, she felt isolated. It was still the post-COVID period, and she was the first among her close friends to have a child. More than anything, she was searching for a sense of community while rebuilding her strength and confidence.<br>That search led her to Hustle.<br><br>She began with the Postpartum &amp; Baby classes which seems to be the only fitness studio in Vancouver where she could work out alongside her three-month-old daughter while connecting with other mothers in the same stage of life. A few months later, she progressed into Mama Move classes and quickly discovered exactly what she had been looking for: challenging workouts, supportive friendships, and a community of women who understood the realities of motherhood.<br>More than three years later, Blair credits Lucy and her team with helping her become stronger than ever. Perhaps even stronger than before becoming a mother.<br><br>For Lucy, supporting women through pregnancy and postpartum has always been more than a career; it has been a passion.<br>For over 12 years, Lucy has dedicated her work to helping people achieve optimal health and wellness. She holds certifications in indoor cycling, group fitness, personal training, Pilates, and yoga, and has completed extensive training focused on prenatal and postpartum care.<br><br>As the owner of Hustle and Spin Society Indoor Cycling Studios in Vancouver, Lucy serves as both a leader and coach within her organizations. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of British Columbia Okanagan in 2017 and began her career developing a strong clinical foundation in medical-surgical nursing. Within a year of graduating, Blair began focusing on her true passion: maternal health.<br><br>Growing up in the small town of Ladner, Blair was always known as the \u201cmom\u201d of the group. No matter the situation, she seemed to have an innate ability to recognize what those around her needed and how she could help. Whether offering a listening ear, emotional support, or a helping hand, caring for others came naturally to her from a young age. This passion for helping people was evident even in her teenage years when she served as a First Responder throughout Grades 10\u201312, receiving specialized First Responder First Aid training to assist with medical emergencies within her school community.<br><br>Blair completed her Perinatal Specialty Certification through BCIT and currently works at BC Women\u2019s Hospital, where she has spent nearly a decade supporting birthing families through labour, delivery, and the early transition into parenthood. Her extensive hands-on experience has shaped her into a steady, compassionate presence during one of life\u2019s most transformative and vulnerable seasons.<br><br>Blair is deeply committed to empowering women with evidence-based education and nurturing confidence throughout their birth and postpartum journey. She believes in standing not only as a guide, but also as a reassuring source of support when challenges arise. Her love of teaching extends beyond nursing and has been a consistent theme throughout her life. <br><br>As a mother to an energetic four-year-old daughter, Blair understands firsthand the physical and emotional changes that accompany pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Her personal experience deepens her empathy and fuels her passion for helping women care for their bodies, feel supported, and step into motherhood feeling informed, capable, and strong.<br><br>When she is not caring for families at the bedside, Blair enjoys spending quality time with her own family. She and her husband of seven years, whom she met while living in Kelowna, love getting outdoors for bike rides, dog walks, and family adventures with their six-year-old chocolate Lab, Ellie. At home, you&#8217;ll often find Blair hosting dance parties in the living room with her daughter or heading out for what her daughter affectionately calls a \u201cbeard\u201d \u2014 a family outing that occasionally includes enjoying a local beer together.
